The Bay Area has been held as a model to some for its response to the pandemic, but despite this, a spike in cases is causing certain areas to roll back re-opening efforts. 

Contra Costa and Santa Cruz counties are moving from the state's orange tier to red, meaning more restriction. And officials in San Francisco are putting a stop to indoor dining after Friday night and pausing plans to reopen high schools.
