Reverend Cecil Williams has passed away at the age of 94.  

Williams co-founded Glide Memorial Church in San Francisco's Tenderloin back in 1963.

It appears the famed Bay Bridge light display will return next year. The founder of Illuminate, Ben Davis, says March 2025 is the target date for the lights to come back on.

The lights went dark last March, but with donations totaling $10 million of the $11 million needed to fund the lights, they could be back in no time.

A new report shows that crime in Oakland is down 33 percent in the first four months of the year, compared to the same time period last year. But, the good news is tempered by the number of robberies, which are actually up 11 percent.
