The roll call is underway on the floor of the Democratic National Convention, where in just minutes, California Governor Gavin Newsom is expected to deliver the delegates that will put Vice President Kamala Harris over the top. 

There was a lot of talk about Newsom's ambitions for the White House before Harris became the presumptive nominee. If Harris wins, she'll likely run for re-election in 2028. That means if Newsom IS interested, he'd probably have to wait until 2032.
