The APEC summit has transformed the city of San Francisco, which is currently bustling with political and business leaders as well as protestors descending on downtown. But ten years ago today, the city came to a standstill for a different reason.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation, with the help of city officials, remade San Francisco into Gotham City for a day, all to help a five-year-old boy who was battling cancer. KCBS Radio news anchors Bret Burkhart and Patti Reising spoke to KCBS insider Phil Matier about that special day and how it came together.

Work is well underway on a $400 million dollar renovation of San Francisco's iconic Transamerica Pyramid. Staff at the Standard got an up close work at some of that work.

Waymo could be coming to the South Bay, as local leaders try to get more autonomy to regulate driverless vehicles in their counties and cities.

A San Francisco homelessness nonprofit accused of nepotism reportedly raked in over 100 grand after investigators announced this week that the Providence Foundation of San Francisco will be barred from applying for or receiving funding after reportedly faking invoices.
