The Salvation Army’s UK Territorial leader Commissioner Paul Main, equivalent to the Church of England’s Archbishop of Canterbury, is visiting Petersfield Salvation Army to lead the Corps in their 140 year anniversary.
Commissioner Main will be present at the Saturday evening celebration event taking place on Saturday 7 March at the Methodist church at 6:30pm (tickets now on sale – please call 01730 265971), and will also lead their regular Sunday Worship the following day at 11.00 am.
Major Mike Harris says more about the event and also how he came to the Salvation Army.
Corps Sergeant Major Steve Field tell us about an act of generosity 100 years ago that enabled them to build today’s Hall on Swan Street and he reveals where the affectionately named ‘hallelujah alley’ was.
