Built as part of the Windmill view development the centre provides sports facilities, classes, a café, regular social meetings and is the home of the Parish council. The PPod - on location at the Clanfield Centre

Fifteen years ago, the Hindhead Tunnel opened beneath the A3, transforming the journey through the Surrey Hills. Today, behind the scenes, a dedicated team of National Highways control room operators keeps a watchful eye on the tunnel from their discreet base beside the road, helping traffic flow and motorists stay safe.

But the tunnel’s impact reaches far beyond the road. For Dominic Holyoak, a break from the control room can mean stepping outside and enjoying a little taste of nature – while also remembering what the landscape was like before the tunnel opened.

And it’s not just people who have benefited. Jo Gray heads above ground to meet Matt Cusack, Lead Ranger for the National Trust, who shares some of the ways nature has flourished since the tunnel opened to traffic.

Jack Finch catches up with local musician, performer, song writer and guitar teacher Jamie West about the revival of his open mic at the Round house in South Harting. since the round house had been in a state if disrepair the bi-monthly tradition had taken a back seat for a few years but was recently revived since the venue is back in action and the next open mic will be on the 18th of September! set in the beautiful timber framed structure in the grounds of South Harting primary school it's set for an atmospheric evening with a range of acoustic music and poetry.

A new season of monthly topical discussions has started at One Tree Books.

Nicola Winter from Home Start Butser kicked eh new season off with a passionate case for Children';s services.

Home Start support 332 families  and 459 children and their preventative work needs to be recognised in the Government's Social Care Review which is underway and appealing for ideas.

Nicola tells Mike Waddington about it and Philip Selby tells us about the Current Affairs Group, open to all.
