The Escapist Bar on Chapel Street celebrated their first year in Petersfield on 22 May and it has been a success.
Owners Tom and Steve have another bar in Chichester as well as their own brewery.
They try to do things differently like a day time quiz for mums with babies (Tuesdays at 3pm) and a local choir are now to come there after rehearsals.
They offer their bar as a club room for local groups.
He says that like many in the hospitality sector, it has been hard going at times, with rising costs and decisions about what can be passed on, but they have held the line as a thank you for their customers.
As long as business conditions don't become worse, they intend to push through!
