Sky Watch - the night skies above Petersfield in January 2026

Petersfield Voluntary Care Group, is 50 years old in 2026.

The voluntary group of 41 drivers arranges transport for over 500 people for, amongst other things, hospital appointments; over 1,700 journeys in this last year alone.

Alison Gauld has volunteered with them since 2010, and has been a coordinator for the last 13 years. She’s standing down as a coordinator this year but will continue to be a driver.

She speaks to Mike Waddington about the group, her new plans and also her time as a 'Wren.'
