On Thursday 12 February the Pam Robson Music Group met at the United Reform Church for their monthly singalong.

Mike Waddington speaks to Audrey Morton from Dementia Friendly Petersfield and Clive Robson who set the group up in memory of his wife Pam; singing makes a difference.

Olivia, Debbie and Grace from South Down Care brought some of their resident along as well as a cheque for Dementia Friendly Petersfield for £3,584.48!

The Pam Robson group meets on the second Thursday of the month.

South Downs Care donate thousands of pounds to Dementia Friendly Petersfield

Winton House on the High Street is the low rent home for a number of local charities like Age Concern, Petersfield Voluntary Care Group and Home Start Butser. 

Its 60 volunteers run the community cafe and a busy information desk. Many others hold events there, like the Veterans' Drop In and Dementia groups.

An elderly couple - who wish to remain anonymous - popped in, liked what they saw and made a big donation. 

Manager Sarah Moss tells Mike Waddington about what happened and why despite many years operating in the town they need to raise funds.

Local man Charles Bevan was the guest speaker at the Current Affairs group that meets at One Tree Books.

Charles was speaking about his life time's work in Development and says that the new situation may need a rethink and some ideas are making a come-back!

He is the author of the paperback  Development Aid: The Good, the bad and the ugly. The real story of international aid for those who are perplexed.
