Sky Watch - the night skies above Petersfield in September 2026

Jo Gray was out and about at Victorious Festival with fellow Shine Radio volunteer Tod Apps, roving through the crowds and meeting fascinating people, local artists and festival-goers along the way.

And what better place for an unexpected reunion than a festival? Jo caught up with old friend and fellow live music lover Eddie for a chat about festivals, making memories and the magic of meeting face-to-face — with a cheeky spot of Eddie’s other passion, football, thrown in for good measure. With music in the air and plenty of festival spirit, it was a Victorious reunion to remember.

Meet the Flyball Buccaneers, a Flyball team that we met at Dogs Day Out 2026 in May this year.

Although you can see flyball at Crufts every year, this emerging, wildly exciting relay race over obstacles is not as well known as it deserves to be in the UK.

It's a lovely introduction to the exciting team sport that is flyball. Enjoy!

140 people visited the Edward Thomas Fellowship collection at Petersfeld Museum and Art Gallery  last month.

Thomas, who lived in Sheet, has a very enduring appeal, and for some a rediscovery.

Jeremy Mitchell from the Fellowship speaks to Mike Waddington about events that reflect this appeal.

There is a walk in the Quantocks which follows Thomas's journey 'in pursuit of spring' and an online meeting with America and the Robert Frost Society.

We also hear about a new acquisition - a drawing from 1906 - gifted recently to the collection and news of a play in gestation.
