Shine a light on Statins 

Hampshire Child and Adolescent Mental Health services – called CAHMS -  are provided by Hampshire & IOW Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust - who also run Petersfield Hospital - sometimes getting 250 referrals a week.

They produce many films – brief, jargon free and to the point – to help young people and families around  mental wellbeing.

Their latest is about anxiety and Emotionally Based Schools Avoidance – known as EBSA.

Mia, who works in CAMHS, is in the film and tells Mike Waddington more about practical steps families can take now.

Emily, also from CAMHS, speaks about ADHD, not over diagnosed in her view, but also how these films are practical assistance in line with NICE guidelines and also an aide to memory.

Local news for Tuesday 24th March

The season campaigns for our Petersphere teams enter their final stretch now and Petersfield rugby club are still in the hunt for 5th place in the Regional South central 2 league which would earn them a promotional playoff spot. On Saturday they welcome free-flowing Havant to Penns Place, a side renowned for fast and skilful rugby https://www.petersfieldrfc.club/ . In football, Petersfield The Rams mens side have finally started picking up points since the earthquake shock of management departure in January. This week they have a tricky tie away to New Milton. https://www.petersfieldtownfc.co.uk/ and the women's first side have a cup game against close rivals Sholing. Our Hockey sides have their work cut out for them particularly the women's 1st side as they take on league leaders Bournemouth. https://www.petersfieldhockeyclub.com/ . Just 3 games remain in the Haslemere Table Tennis league this week and finally the 2 titans Petersfield and College Hill clash in what could be a title decider https://www.petersfieldttclub.org.uk/ . And as Josh attempts to restore honour to his family name, he must overturn the might (and ego) of his co-presenter Kevin as they hurl biscuits into the sky in their first presenter event....Biscus
