Volunteers from Petersfield Save the Children, raised funds over the weekend to help children at home and abroad. 

They have plans for more events, raising £1,500 each time.

Save the Children fundraising success  at Winton Huuse

The Salvation Army and the Foodbank are once again, providing hampers and toys to those in need.

Last year 130 hampers were provided and 40 children had presents delivered.

Local agencies - who work through Agencies Together -  have until 6 December to nominate people.

Mike Waddington spoke to the Salvation Army's Steve Field about the project.

Local news for Tuesday 12th November

Speed watch are a group of local volunteers in yellow jackets with official speed guns, who are patrolling speeding hotspots after training by the police.  

Those found to be going faster than the speed limit are sent a polite letter reminding them about speeding in areas requiring caution for safety.

Julie Butler, who volunteers with them, spoke to Mike Waddington about the scheme.
