Amidst the cascade of knitted poppies at St Peter’s Church there are a few in purple. They remember the animals who ‘served’ too.
Charlie Roberts from St Peter’s Vets explains why they also support the charity, Murphy’s Army Purple Poppy Appeal, which honours and supports the animals who served alongside our Armed Forces and Emergency Services.
The beneficiaries of this year’s campaign are Bransby Horses, WAGs Retired Police Dogs and the They Also Served Memorial Fund.
