On Wednesday 11 November at 6pm at Winton House on the High Street, local people can 'pitch' for small amounts of a few hundred pounds to improve an area, launch a group or other ideas that need support. 

Small amounts can do significant good says Linda Wallace, Chief Executive at PHA Homes, talking to Mike Waddington. 

Linda explains the simple process of 'pitching', encouraging people to attend  the event (£5 for the soup), and why this is important to the community and to PHA Homes.

PHA Homes hold soup event to give funds to the community

Local MP Damian Hinds is now the Shadow Spokesperson on Health and Social Care.

It is high profile and a demanding, complex area of policy.

Speaking to Mike Waddington he talks about the role and the large consensus there is around policy but differences must be debated as a road to better solutions. 

He talks about the areas that need to be under consideration and his own 'red lines.'

A Festival Reunion That Struck the Right Chord

The Fifth Dementia Festival was held on Friday 30 October at Churcher's College.

Inspired by the late Geoff Williams, Dementia Friendly Petersfield and Alton brought organisations together so people could learn more about dementia, find out about support and understand more.

A vibrant, positive gathering with plenty going on - celebrating improvements but also the extensive network of organisations and volunteers who provide 'support'  - actually a huge array  on offer.

We hear from organiser Audrey Morton, MPs Damian Hinds (who opened the Festival) and Greg Stafford, Sid and Rob (carers), the Mayor of Petersfield and Chairwoman of EHDC and more.
