On Saturday 12 September about 600 rubber ducks - sponsored at £5 a time - raced down the River Rother to hundreds of spectators’ cheers at the Annual Trotton Duck Race and Fete. 

Simon and Neil are co-chairs of the organising team of 70, who tell us what its about and the causes it supports.

Amidst the festivities we hear from the ever popular Donut Tree, children's coconut shy, cake stall (though sadly there is no interview with the Egg Chucking team...)

We also hear from Eco Rother Action who conduct water testing along the Rother; events like this, they say, helps raise the importance of volunteer action on water quality.

But the day belonged to the crowds cheering their ducks over the course.
