On the day before Remembrance Sunday, 8 November, and the forthcoming Armistice Day on Wednesday 11 November, volunteers from the Petersfield Society are refreshing the planters around the memorial with flowers of significance, as a mark of respect. 

It is also part of work with local councils about planting in Petersfield places.

Jeremy Mitchell from the Edward Thomas Centre at Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery speaks to Mike about one of the poppies from the 2014 installation at the Tower of London, which inspired other displays like the one currently adorning the gates of St Peters Church.
