The Petersfield School has been awarded national attendance certificates for the Autumn and Spring terms, which places them in the top 25% in the country.

Mark Marande, the school Principal says it reflects the hard work of the whole school and the community in promoting and sustaining excellent attendance.

Local school receives a national award for attendance

More than one hundred exhibitors put on a show of the future for students at Churcher's College.

The event was an opportunity to explore careers, university life, volunteering and gap year options.

Guest speakers included Dr Daniel Stewart who turned his education in chemistry into an innovative business venture.

You'll also hear Rich from Google, Alice from George Ide solicitors, Kirsty Verney from Churcher's College, Samantha from the Royal Navy, photographer Hester, Larissa of the King's Arms, Ed of Petersfield-based nanobrewery Algebrew, Rachel from NATS

Students from several year groups at the Petersfield senior school were invited - you'll hear Lucinda, Torquil, Holly, Amelie, Edie and Clemie - and some from the Liphook junior school came along too.

Shine Radio's Stephen Martin and Jo Gray were there to capture a flavour of the evening, meet the participants and find out what some of the students got out of it.

2026 is the 90th anniversary of the spitfire and Langrish House has been awarded a blue plaque to commemorate their role in its manufacture.  Not only that but it was also a base for a secret defence force in case of invasion.  Alan Matlock spoke to Phill Humphries about the fascinating secret stories of Langrish House.
