Local news for Wednesday 23rd September

Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery needs to boost its footfall and Jeremey Mitchell, Chair of the Trustees, says they want people’s views.

They are being collected in the market, at the Museum and online, as part of its National Lottery funded Major Business Review.

Jeremey Mitchell talks to Mike Waddington about it all and we hear from Miri, from cultural consultants Flying Geese, about how views can shape the outcome.

The Stanley Spencer and Flora Twort exhibition closes this Saturday, 26 September.

The Museum then closes for two weeks so that the shortlisted entrants for the South Down Open can be displayed.

Public views wanted as Major Business Review launched at the Museum 

This week, we hear all about Mackenzie Music! Jo Gray and Tod Apps caught up with the local artist at Victorious Festival, where she shares the story of her journey—from performing on smaller stages to making her way to the Common Stage and beyond.

Joe Bicknell is the proprietor of Hectors. Based on Chapel Street in Petersfield, Hector’s quickly made a name for itself as the go-to place for menswear but Hectors also stocks ladies clothing and homewares too…. and offers a hire service for special occasions.

And also at the table is Tim Gamester to look ahead to what’s happening in Petersfield’s First Friday business networking club in October.
