Malinka van der Gaauw (pro Gow), a qualified Walk Guide at Rural Strides, recommends walking in the Western Weald and winter is a good time to do so, in fact is very popular for all kinds of reasons.

However she underlines that you should prepare, with warm clothing, footwear and poles. 

In this interview with Mike Waddington she talks about why it is a good past time, healthy and informative.
