What happens after you win Britain's Got Talent? For local musician Gwen Woodruffe, life has been something of a whirlwind!

As a member of the Hawkstone Farmers' Choir, Gwen has gone from singing with fellow farmers to performing on some of the country's biggest stages. Now the choir has a brand-new single, Absolution, with an album and UK tour on the way.

Gwen joins Laura Sheppard to share what life has been like since that unforgettable BGT victory, the story behind the new music and what's coming next.

And she's bringing a little musical magic closer to home! Gwen has organised a musical theatre singalong at The Good Intent in Petersfield, where everyone is invited to belt out their favourite show tunes.

From Britain's Got Talent to a Petersfield pub singalong!

The Mayor or Petersfield, Councillor Jamie Matthews, and the Chairwoman of East Hampshire Council, Councillor Penny Flux, awarded the trophies at the Petersfield in Bloom celebration event on Thursday evening, 8 October, at the Festival Hall. 

Judged in the summer, there were 11 categories and 25 winners.

Mike Waddington attended and spoke to individual winners, Winton House, Petersfield Infants School, Annie Jones, Downs House and the Salvation Army as well as Councillors Matthews and Flux.

Petersfield in Bloom celebrates its winners!

The school has extensive grounds and in woodland they built a Bronze Age Round House, with help from Butser Ancient Farm and is part of the school's outdoor learning programme, says Clare Morphew, Head of History, talking to Mike Waddington.

The thatched roof now needs some major TLC so they are appealing for a Petersfield expert to help.

Clare talks about why this is aa useful learning experience for the children, who may visit the Barrows on The Heath.

There was a particular enthusiasm for the mud (and other ingredients ...) daubing, delicately explained by Clare.

All part of a hands-on Head of History's time.
