On Saturday 4th June, part of the long weekend for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, Shine Radio became a 50s station and broadcast live from the Avenue Pavilion with 7 hours of music, guests, vintage local news from the legendary Martin Muncaster (who presented the first regional bulletin on Southern Television - now ITV Meridian - back in 1958) as well as quizzing from pupils and staff at Ditcham Park School.
