23 April is an important day in the English Calendar; it's St George's day and also Shakespeare's birthday (and, coincidentally also the date he died) and on Wednesday 23 April, at Gallery Number 30, members of the Lion and Unicorn Players are performing highlights from Shakespeare's drama, poetry, comedy and insults.
Rob and Laura Shepherd are performing in the show and talk to Mike Waddington about how pervasive Shakespeare is in every day language and modern drama from West Side Story to the latest White Lotus.
Tickets from Gallery 30.
