Local news for Monday 28th September

Rugby is finally back in the Petersphere and after a delayed start to the rugby season, Petersfield finally kick off with a home tie against a gritty Chobham side. Although Petersfield have had the better of the last few results, there is a distinct freshness about the Petersfield side with debutants on show. Meanwhile, Chobham put out a side full of experience https://www.petersfieldrfc.club/ . In the football world, for Petersfield the men's rams its a week of drama as the coach and club can't resolve differences and coach Zak Sharp leaves the club. We'll discuss the recent events as well as report on the 2 league games with Baffin Milton and Bashley in the week. https://petersfieldtownfc.co.uk/ . Also in football, Liss Athletic are looking for a spark to re-ignite their form and results. Whilst they wait for upgrade works at their home ground, they take on Meon Milton at the West Leigh stadium in the Portsmouth Seniors cup.https://www.pitchero.com/clubs/lissathletic/ .In women's football, both the Liphook ladies and Petersfield town have struggled in their early season matches and are yet to score a point between them. In the Sportlight 27th September

Following the loss of much-loved geography teacher, Mr Newton, TPS is undertaking a year of fundraising for The Rosemary Foundation.

After discovering he had a rare form of adrenal gland cancer, the charity supported him and his family with palliative care.

Fundraising for the Rosemary Foundation began with a mountain tribute in the Alps.
