Home-Start Butser support 263 families with a staff equivalent to 4 full timers and 80 volunteers.
They are asking people with parenting experience to volunteer 3 hours a week to help struggling families with children under five.
Training is provided. The next course starts in Petersfield on Thursday 25 September, 9:30am to 2:30pm, over five weeks.
Manager Nicola Winter, talking to Mike Waddington, explains how someone's parenting experience is a great resource to help others, who may be struggling for a variety of reasons, including multiple births, mental health, or partners away, perhaps on military duties. The training explains how boundaries are set and why this helps the volunteer and the family helped.
They are also raising the £200,000 needed every year to run the organisation.
