St Peter's Vet runs a 24 hour, 7 days a week, year round service but there is such a thing as first aid for pets.

Local vet Matt Tyler. a general practitioner rom St Peter's Vets, speaks to Mike Waddington about it and stresses the first thing when faced with an injured pet is to keep calm.

The advice is fairly similar to what you might do for yourself. 

CPR for animals requires a special course to learn it but he also says that if yuo reach that stage you should call your vet.
