Winton House on the High Street is the low rent home for a number of local charities like Age Concern, Petersfield Voluntary Care Group and Home Start Butser. 

Its 60 volunteers run the community cafe and a busy information desk. Many others hold events there, like the Veterans' Drop In and Dementia groups.

An elderly couple - who wish to remain anonymous - popped in, liked what they saw and made a big donation.
