Petersfield Climate Action Network – PeCAN - has invited Heat Pump expert, the wonderfully named  Bean Beanland, to speak at a public meeting on 15 April at the United Reform Church, at 630pm. 

Rob Staples from PeCAN talks to Mike Waddington about some of the issues around it and why no question is too basic. The speaker wants to explain all about Heat Pumps and deal with a few myths.

PeCAN also offer individual advice about keeping your home warm.

They also feel that - like solar panels - a culture change is on its way.

Home Start Butser supported a record number of families last year - up 25% - through their volunteers and groups in Petersfield, Clanfield and Horndean.

A recent birthday party brought them a surprise, says Nicola Winter, the manager, who tells Mike Waddington about a record breaking year, a new clutch of trained volunteers and the generosity of local people.

The Junior Petersfield Hockey Club collected Easter Eggs for Home Start families, the Lions provided vouchers for meat and the 85th birthday party collected presents for them.

Nicola talks about their groups and new meetings after Easter, and how to get in touch.
