On Saturday 12 September Ride and Stride takes place.

The Hampshire and the Islands Historic Churches Trust (HIHCT) ask people to visit as many of the 400 Hampshire churches, many historical, as you can between 10am and 6pm.

Robin Hart, who has been riding and striding for 35 years, speaks to Mike Waddington about it.

Sponsorship raises over £50,000 a year  for the upkeep of Hampshire churches but says Robin , enjoy the history and the journey there.

400 Hampshire churches say come Ride and Stride

On Wednesday 19 August a Full Peale of Grandsire Triples (written 300 years ago by John Carter)rang out for three hours to say thank yu to four ringers heading off to university, an apprenticeship and the armed forces.

This was a special event and more so as the last time a Full Peale was rung by St Peter's Ringers was 1937.

Mike Waddington found out more from Brian, Kath, Nick, Fran (the conductor this night) and Reverend Will Hughes.

Trevor Edwards turned to the gym at Whitehill & Bordon Leisure Centre after an unexpected turn of events. Following a routine operation, Trevor was rushed back to hospital with MRSA. Four months later, he left unable to walk.

Over the past 18 months, Trevor has battled through adversity, determined to achieve his goals, including one very special ambition, walking his daughter down the aisle

Liss Athletic football club keep the minds focused on the league challenge and travel to a tough local tie against a well organised side in Whitehill and Bordon.
