Should I sell my property off market?... It’s a question I’ve been asked a lot recently, and the answer might surprise you.
Right now, I’m seeing more owners tempted by a friend who “has a buyer,” a quiet offer that feels really strong compared to any recent appraisal they’ve been given, or the idea that property sells itself anyway. So why not save on agent commission and do it yourself? Why not keep that $15,000 to $20,000 you’d otherwise pay?
In a hot market, it can feel like you don’t need a sales agent. You don’t need a campaign or buyer competition to get a good result. Let’s face it, you could take a photo of your letterbox, put it online, and probably get offers on Facebook or through one of the major portals.
You might think, “I’m getting a good result. I’m getting offers. I’m getting sold.” It may even be higher than what agents have recently appraised your property for.
But I want to share a real story that shows what can happen when you take that path…
Let’s go inside.
