A new global study out of Curtin Uni has found that kids who are the youngest in their class are more likely to be diagnosed with ADHD.

Lead author Dr Martin Whitely, Research Fellow at the John Curtin Institute of Public Policy, spoke to Oliver Peterson  about the report saying that there are no biological markers or physical tests for ADHD and the diagnosis is
based in large part on teacher reports of a child’s behaviour.

He said, "some teachers mistake immaturity for ADHD."

So, are kids being misdiagnosed when it could just be maturity?
