Children are waiting up to three and a half years to see a pediatrician in WA's public health system. 

Perth mum, Louise Thurlow, told Gary Adshead on Mornings she's been waiting 18 months for an appointment after her son was waitlisted for an autism assessment.

Clinical and Counselling Psychologist at PsychWest WA, Kerstin Anderson-Ridge told Oly Peterson on Perth Live there's an alternative pathway parents can take... 

She says children could see a psychologist within 2-3 months for an autism or ADHD diagnosis, which would open the door for NDIS funding and other support through the school system.
