The Housing Industry Association is calling for all states and territories in Australia to drop stamp duty in a bid to make housing more affordable.

Stamp duty makes up approximately 33 per cent of the cost of buying a new home in Western Australia.

The Housing Industry Association deputy managing director of policy and industry Jocelyn Martin told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live the upcoming budget should include tax reforms.
