Faf du Plessis, South African batsman has joined the Perth Scorchers as a late signing.
The former South African cricket captain will be available for the first seven matches as a temporary replacement for Laurie Evans.
"14 months or so ago I texted Mitch Marsh and I said look I just retired from test cricket how about that scorchers gig," Faf du Plessis told Perth Live host Oliver Peterson.
"Adam Voges,I know him from back in the day from playing against him, so it's nice playing under him now as the coach - he has done a good job and I'm really excited to see what he's got this year."
