The Bayswater Council have voted 6-5 to knock back a proposal to build a flag pole that would predominantly be used to fly a pride flag and other optional flags on certain days such as Harmony and R U OK day.
Bayswater Mayor Filoemena Piffaretti casted the deciding vote and has not publicly provided her reason for voting down the proposed flag pole.
