Today the Federal Agriculture Minister announced a new panel of experts to oversee live sheep exports phased out.

However, during the press conference, WA Farmers President John Hassell was asked to leave after he turned up unannounced to defend the live export trade.

Mr Hassell told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live the ban is about animal activism and “petty politics”.
