Perry had just gotten off a depressing phone call. He walked into the living room and suddenly shared a bible verse with his brothers. And that’s when, with his mind’s eye, he saw a wall of fire around him.

It was a sunshiny morning in northern Michigan. Perry was 6 hears old. And Jesus called him by name. At the time he didn’t realize it, but looking back he knows it was the Lord calling him into new creation.

Maybe you’ve sacrificed a lot so others can know Jesus.  Shawna has a friend who lives in a country that doesn’t value women and she was so touched by her willingness to  self-sacrifice so others could know God. But that’s the way of Jesus. That’s the way we are called to live as those who follow Him.

It’s a wrestling that’s been going on for quite a few years for Perry. “Am I giving my family enough of me with all the other really good things that I have on my plate. Lord am I in the center of your will for me?”
