Mark is an ambassador for the Kingdom of God cleverly disguised as an exterminator. He was on a routine call from a customer who had a yellow jack infestation. After treating them he was surrounded by hundreds of bees. He was stung some 20-30 times.
Within minutes he was staggering to his vehicle before passing out. Unable to communicate he heard his customer saying, “Mark, Mark, do you hear the sirens? They’re coming for you, Mark. Help is on the way.”
As Mark tells his story we are reminded of how fragile life is.
Living in the moment: Free from regretting the past . Free from fearing the future. It's the sweet spot, and Perry admits, "I'm not doing this well right now."
When we are tired we each have our go-to pick me ups – we indulge in a doughnut or do a little online shopping. All the while Jesus has exactly what we need and he says to us, “Come to me.”
It may seem hard to believe, because you know yourself. But when Jesus returns, you will be blameless. He will finish the good work he's doing in you!
Last, Romans 10:9 tells us that, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved.”
There are a lot of different ideas about who Jesus is. Believing in a Jesus of your own making does not result in salvation. Only believing in Jesus for who He is will save you.
