As we grow older, we become more and more independent. That’s maturity. But the kingdom of God is an upside down kingdom where maturity is relying more and more on God. Something Shawna learned a bit more of stuck in a snow drift.
Perry got a text from his 15-year-old friend Colton: “I hope you are doing well. It’s been a while.” Perry’s first instinct was to give him the “I’ve got it all together” response. Instead he shared about his right now wrestling and got of bucketload of wisdom about how God works really good things in our wrestling!
It’s easy in life to be overwhelmed by “all the things.” In our faith walk Jesus says only one thing is needed. Then, Perry knew he needed prayer on Sunday morning and his pride was causing him some hesitation. Instead he went low and received way more than he expected!
