There is a surge of applications for divorce in the month of January. Why is that?

Hayley Scully of  Hope for the Heart shares that the same new sense of courage that causes us to dive into a radical diet plan may be behind what is known as “Divorce January.”

Then, Perry and Shawna listener Jermaine has gone through a divorce he didn’t want and he’s in a season of deep sadness. He wonders if hoping for remarriage should be a goal at all.  

Marriage is hard. It just is. How do you know if what you’re going through is just “normal” or if it’s time to get help? Before we book an appointment with a marriage counselor are there other resources that could be helpful?

Divorce is more painful than the death of a spouse. In the aftermath of divorce it’s dark and it may seem like it will be dark forever. If that’s the season you’re in you may be asking, “Will the sun ever break through the clouds of my life again?”
