Vibration sensors play an important role in machine condition monitoring by measuring normal operating conditions and informing the user when vibration changes and maintenance is required. Performing maintenance outside of business hours prevents the machine from shutting down during working hours, which can be very costly in terms of lost production, labor, and employee satisfaction. Inertial measurement units are widely used in the Mobile Equipment industry and other industries. The IMUF99 features a built-in gyroscope to measure inclination in 3 axes and an accelerometer to measure acceleration and rotation in 3 axes. The intelligent Sensor Fusion Algorithm combines the signals from the gyroscope and accelerometer to compensate for the effects of acceleration and provide error-free inclination detection during dynamic motion.
