This week, we're going global with Radio Ghana presenter, Ebenezer Banful, who has been on the air at 2XX for 19 years, and Vesna Cvjeticanin, who, for 8 years, presented Serbia in My Heart.

People Powered 50 Years - 24-7-2026

After immersing himself in the Californian west coast music scene, Clive Miller returned to Canberra in 1976 and soon found himself as the fledgling 2XX’s public programs and publicity manager. Clive went to Triple J and then into artist management, managing The Go-Betweens. He worked with the YothuYindi Foundation before becoming CEO of the charity Optometry Giving Sight. He is now CEO of SupportAct, the music industry charity.

Liam Egan, started out at 2XX as a teenager, and became centrally involved in recording local bands and musicians at the station. Liam went on to a career in sound design, and has worked in post production on dozens of feature films, television projects, and documentaries. He has received many awards and nominations, including an AFI and an ASSG award for the acclaimed drama Samson and Delilah.
