In this episode of The People of Brisbane Podcast, Trevor Evans sits down with Queensland’s Minister for Housing, Public Works and Youth, Sam O'Connor.
With housing being such an important issue for Australians right now, Sam’s job is of the utmost importance. Within his first six months of being in State Government, he’s helped deliver the removal of Stamp Duty on new homes for all first homebuyers, overseen a record pipeline of more social and affordable housing, and reduced red tape to make it easier to build in Queensland. We chat about the current state of housing in Queensland and what the current LNP State Government is doing to improve the current landscape, as well as Sam's journey into his current role within the Crisafulli Government.
