Sean Elliott joins Papa & Silver to reflect on Gregg Popovich and the origins of load management in the NBA. Sean Elliott joins Papa &amp; Silver to reflect on Gregg Popovich and the origins of load management in the NBA. He tells Papa &amp; Silver why simply shortening the regular season from 82 games will not solve the injury issues that we see today, and how players need to come into the season physically ready to play for eight months. Plus, his thoughts on the stardom of Victor Wembanyama, who scored 40 points in the Spurs' win over the Lakers last night.

Papa previously hosted his own show on KNBR from 2001-2003. Papa will host the weekday 10am-2pm time slot alongside Greg Silver. Upon joining the 49ers earlier this year, Papa became the first Bay Area broadcaster to have a role with five of the region’s major professional teams. He previously served as the voice of the Warriors (TV & radio – 1986-97), Giants (TV & radio – 2004-08), Oakland A’s (TV – 1990-2003) and Oakland Raiders (radio – 1997-2017). Papa currently hosts NBC Sports Bay Area’s San Francisco Giants and Golden State Warriors Pregame Live and Postgame Live shows.
