1）守护独居老人平安，早安图成关键？

一名62岁独居者三天没有发送“早安图”，最终被发现在家中逝世。此事件凸显了独居老人安全问题，尤其是在新加坡独居老人人数不断增加的背景下。去年，新加坡有约7万6000名65岁及以上的独居者，预料到了2030年将增至12万2000人。除了子女和亲友关注，科技方案如安装感应器、紧急呼救按钮以及智能手表等，也有助于保障独居老人安全。社会需要加强对独居老人的关怀与支持，以避免他们孤独终老。

2）喝假酒到底有多危险？

老挝背包客天堂万荣（Vang Vieng）11月12日发生疑似甲醇（methanol）中毒事件，导致六名外国游客身亡，死者包括两名19岁澳大利亚女生。另有10多名外国游客因甲醇中毒，入院治疗。事后，老挝警方拘留了万荣一家背包客旅馆的经理和七名工作人员。甲醇是广泛用于工业产品中的酒精，误饮会导致失明、器官衰竭甚至死亡。

3）巴士充电设备安全吗？

马来西亚一名青年在长途巴士使用插座为手机充电时触电身亡，引发对巴士充电设备安全的关注。事故后，马来西亚交通部暂停所有巴士充电设备的使用，并承诺制定安全标准。新加坡陆路交通管理局则表示，本地巴士USB插座电压低，触电可能性小，并规定业者每月检查车队确保安全。尽管如此，当局仍提醒乘客留意充电设备状况，避免使用损坏插座或充电线。
