West Palm Beach police have arrested an 18-year-old male in the March fatal shooting of a 16-year-old along Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard. The Palm Beach Post is not identifying the teen because he was a juvenile at the time of the shooting, one of four this year in Palm Beach County in which a teenager has died. Investigators have confirmed Terryan Crapps died in the March 13 incident but had not released other details as of Thursday. The teen is expected to appear at a bail hearing this morning (Friday) at the Palm Beach County Jail.

Dolphins coach Brian Flores gave an endorsement of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on Friday but stopped short of addressing speculation that the club is interested in trading for troubled Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson. Asked if he is committed to Tagovailoa for the rest of the 2021 season barring injury, Flores said, QUOTE “Barring injury, yeah.”

The John I. Leonard athletic community is mourning the sudden death of a "beloved" teacher and high school football coach. Carey McCray, 48, died suddenly on Monday due to complications from a recent medical condition. A social studies teacher the last six years, McCray recently served as the Lancers' defensive coordinator as well as the current head coach for the school's girls flag football program. John I. Leonard athletic director Jim Howell said "(McCray) poured his all into his students both in the classroom and on the athletic field. He was extremely influential, impactful and positive to not only our students but everyone he came in contact with."
