The new LA Fitness gym that just opened in the Alton community in Palm Beach Gardens is a little different than all the others. The Los Angeles-based gym chain operates about 150 “Signature Clubs” throughout the United States, and its first county location opened Tuesday at Alton Town Center. The 38,500-square-foot facility on Donald Ross Road is an upscale version of a typical LA Fitness center. It features towel service, an infrared sauna, a functional CrossFit training area, a lounge area, deadlift zones, a Pilates studio, a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) studio and cardio equipment with personal TVs, fans and USB chargers built-in. Other amenities include an indoor pool, group fitness classes, personal training, indoor cycling, sauna, whirlpool spa, and Kids Klub.
