The Miami Dolphins are dominating the offseason thanks to general manager Chris Grier. Before NFL free agency officially opened at 4 p.m. Wednesday, the Dolphins had already agreed to contracts with nine free agents.

Yes, Miami had more money than any NFL team to spend. But there’s a difference between having money to spend and spending it wisely.

Grier has filled Miami’s plethora of needs in strategic, thoughtful and impressive ways. He’s going after young players. The first nine players the Dolphins signed were all 28 or younger. Plus, the Dolphins have a component coaching staff in place with head coach Brian Flores.
