The father of a 1-year-old girl who died in July after ingesting cocaine and fentanyl said he delayed taking her to a hospital as he searched for a dose of Narcan to revive her. Charquez Giles and Latonia Clemons are facing third-degree murder charges in the death of the girl. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said they left the girl at a relative’s home and then fled to Charlotte, North Carolina. The two are in the county jail, each with bail set at $1 million. Their two other children have been placed with relatives.
