Nearly two years after a hit-and-run collision killed a young father of two, police say they have caught the driver. City police a 22-year-old Lake Worth Beach woman Friday in connection with a fatal crash on June 18, 2019, that killed Nelson Roman Rodriguez, a 28-year-old Riviera Beach man. Rodriguez and his wife had parked on South Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach just before midnight, and he crossed the street to buy a cigar. As Rodriguez crossed South Dixie Highway, a late-model Chevrolet Camaro struck him, killing him, and its driver fled. The woman is charged with charged with negligently killing while driving on a suspended license, tampering with evidence, and fleeing from a fatal hit-and-run.
