In the oft-times chaotic world of local politics, Sheila Aaronson was known best as a friendly face. Though quiet and kind in her demeanor — and standing at 5 feet tall — she was a behind-the-scenes influencer and right-hand woman to Burt Aaronson, her furniture executive-turned powerhouse county commissioner husband of nearly 70 years. “She looked like she was heading for 100,” her son Rick said.
